Greyhound Cocktail - a Bus Load of Flavour

The Greyhound is a straightforward and crisp cocktail that highlights the tartness of grapefruit and the smoothness of gin. With a single clear spirit and grapefruit juice it is certainly very simple and sits on the healthier end of the cocktail spectrum.

While the traditional Greyhound cocktail is usually stirred, you can shake it if you prefer a more integrated and colder beverage. Shaking the Greyhound can give it a frothier texture and blend the flavors more thoroughly.

A common variation to the Greyhound cocktail is the Salty Dog which become popular in the mid-20th century. The Salty Dog is a Greyhound with a salted rim adding extra complexity with a savory element to this classic cocktail.
